Bosisto’s Wine Bar
The minimal amount of signage on the front door sort of says it all. We’re in business but we’re keeping it a bit low key.
I’m even reticent to share this Richmond gem, although it comes from the pedigree of memorable City venues, Double Happiness and New Gold Mountain.
This is a great wine bar, come restaurant, breakfast bar and more, with lots to love.
If it’s dinner you’re after, the meals are perfectly sized and perfectly priced.
Lots of simple favourites and interesting combinations, with an Italian bent.
You might find a choice of pie du jour with potato skins, chicken parmigiana, flour dusted calamari, paperdelle with Guiseppe’s parmesan and mushroom meatballs, steamed mussels in white wine, rack of lamb with garlic potatoes, aged porterhouse with a choice of French mustards, grilled baby snapper and more.
There’s also a choice of bar nibblies to go with your favourite glass of wine.
Arancini balls, grilled haloumi or chorizo, fried whitebait, herb crusted sardines or you could go for a cheese or charcuterie plate
There’s also a great combination dish of steamed mussels, pomme frites and a pot of Becks for $24!!
If you enjoy trying different wines, Bosisto’s has a novel way to do so.
Wines by the glass are chosen by the patrons with 4 whites and 4 reds available.
When one bottle is finished, the next bottle opened is chosen by whoever wants to order a glass.
This means that anytime you visit Bosisto’s, you’ll get the chance to broaden your wine knowledge by sampling lots off their different and interesting wine list.
Breakfast/Lunch is available Friday – Sunday and might consist of a piadina, scrambled eggs, muesli, ricotta hotcakes, banana bread, poached eggs, taleggio and mushroom omelette, French toast and more
Bosisto’s has comfy banquette seating for six, a few smaller tables for two and even a large private room for up to 15.
